Yesterday we had the Goodordering Launch breakfast, it was a long time coming seeing as we started shipping and selling product back in February. But the business of everyday life, a baby and general sleep deprivation meant that we have waited until August. It was well worth it as it was also a great way to thank all the people involved in getting where we have so far.
The venue was a little restaurant on Rathbone Place in London called East Street. We thought the venue would be perfect for Goodordering considering the foodie and Asian link. We love the retro graphics and the street market outdoor feel. In fact, I don't think we could have chosen a better place to host it. Needless to say the food there is magnificent and very reasonable too!
Amongst the guests we had press, stockists including Caz from Cyclechic, Neil from tokyobike, Kathryn from Lock 7 and Olivia from Evans. We also had the lovely Jane from The Women's Room, and Jessica from the Telegraph.
The look book and postcards were designed with the expert help of Wai Lee.
On display we had the mini moulton from our photoshoot, a lovely tokyobike and East Street's own delivery bicycle.
It was a chance to showcase the range in a setting outside a bicycle shop and show people how the bags work on and off a bicycle.
Overall it was a great morning, despite the early start it was a lot of fun and really nice to see the fruits of our labour come together.
Thanks very much to Canvas PR, in particular Daria for all their involvement, Hannah Garrod for taking some great photos of the event and Foodiecakes for providing the amazing sushi cakes. Check out our collaboration with ReTrak too, who were there supporting us with their cute and very useful gadgets. Of course Jane gets friend brownie points and Kevin & Suz gets family brownie points for turning up with flowers!
