Instructions on how to make the best bag charm

1. Find a main large carrabiner or key chain to hang everything else off

2. Pick a couple of main charms to use. they could be vintage or something new. Think about putting on something sentimental to you.

3. Consider the weight of the items so its not too heavy for the bag you want to decorate.

4. Add some hand-braided details such as macrame key chains to make the bunch more personal and hand-made.

5. Once you have assembled all your elements, you can start putting it all together. You can join some of the key rings and split rings together so there are not as many different elements hanging from the main clip which makes it look a bit neater and cohesive.

It is a great activity to do with kids as they can be creative but also leave with something really cool that they have curated themselves. Here is my son max making a keyring extension with some hama bead creations he did on the weekend.

I found an old fly fishing fish and removed the hooks and added some beads with some nylon thread here.
