Vinted gems: Buying second

Vinted gems: Buying second

I have been converted to vinted, both for selling and for buying. In fact the prices are so low that if you sell on vinted you pretty much need to also buy on vinted. You then then probably remove a 'zero' from the end of the price. There are some fantastic deals and finds on vinted, from finding out of print books, toys that are not made any more to that pair of trainers that you want that you cannot justify paying full price for.

Recently i was looking for a nice ice bucket and there were so many cool ones on vinted that i simply couldn't buy new even if i wanted to.

Prices can vary from £1 to £150 for a vintage wall clock. The rarer pieces may not sell straight away but when the right collector comes along, it can be a match made in heaven. If you find something in a charity shop and you are not sure of the value of it you can also use vinted (like ebay) to check on the prices that the item can reach.

I like to search by colour, this is useful if you are looking for an item to specifically match something that you already own.  For example my love of primary colours is a great one for searching for items that fit this colour story.

The search criteria is helpful in that you can select "new with tags" if you want an unused item, or you can search by different levels of the item's condition.

You can 'favourite' an item where it goes into your own library of items that you are considering purchasing or you just want to have in your library, these items can still be sold from under your nose but you may, like me just want to keep these items in your favourites as reference.

You can make 'offers' on items and i think it is actually almost expected that people will try to offer a lower price. You can quickly and easily make a counter offer and end up somewhere in the middle where all parties are happy. This is the ultimate goal, it is all about matching the buyer with the seller where both parties walk away happy.

If you are looking for specific items such as glass beads for example you can ensure that more will come up on your 'feed' if you 'favourite' similar items. so whilst i may not actually want to purchase a specific item, if i favourite it, there will be more items similar to that one come up on your feed. Thousands of new items are added to vinted every day so its worth looking regularly if you are searching for something specific.

If you are just wanting to browse, you can find all kinds of household or fashion items just by creating a search and seeing what comes up, i feel that vinted and ebay are the new way that people browse when shopping with all the convenience of sitting on their bed, you don't even need to leave the house to grab yourself some fantastic bargains. Also at the same time you can shop with less guilt as second hand shopping is definitely more sustainable than buying products new.

Finally i'll leave you with the listing i found which is a huge bundle of proverbs, little pieces of paper with wise saying written on them in different fonts. This is an example f an item that i would never have even thought existed before coming across it on vinted.
