Do you have a 3d pen like me but not sure what to actually make with it? well here are some ideas. Now that these pens have become more accessible to the average person, this is your sign to get creative and start drawing in 3D. I recently purchased a 3d pen but wasn't sure what to do with it. So upon looking for some inspiration i thought i would publish my findings here to share.
1. Hanging decorations
2. Fixing broken things
Fixing holes in bags or clothes with a patch made from 3d printed material. You can select different types of filament that is best suited to repair your specific item.
3. Personalised name tags
4. Interior design products
5. Creative characters
Making toys are only limited by the imagination, these colourful monsters are drawn just as they would be in 2D but in 3 dimensions. Building up the layers of colour and shape becomes a tool that allows a full flow of your own creativity.
6. Home hacks
Fixing things and making life easier with little items such as these cable holders below.
7. Adding decorative elements to existing items.
Plain terracotta pots are decorated with 3 dimensional flowers in the above picture. These would brighten up any garden or windowsill and is also a great project for kids to show their creativity with this new piece of technology.
This above is a keyring frame that i decorated with my new 3D pen, adding additional embellishment to plain objects.
If there are any other items or ideas that you have for using your 3d pen that is not included in this blog post, please comment below as i would love to add other items to this blog post.
